Statement on Lion
Posted by Charlie Tumminello on 20 July 2011 09:53 AM
As many of you are aware, Apple's OS X 10.7 (aka Lion) was made available for download today.  We would like to STRONGLY advise you NOT to update your machines to this operating system at this time.  As of July 20th, DALiM products are not 100% compatible with Lion, and we are currently testing the client-side apps for TWiST and ES.  We will keep you informed as to when Lion will be fully supported.  We thank you for your understanding in this matter.

I'm a desktop service rep for a large printing company and had a customer ask me will this still be an issue if they make pdf's like they normally do, out of InDesign CS4, but make them on a system that is running Lion? They are in the process of planning a hardware and software upgrade.

This news article just pertains to customers who run the DALiM software, either as a server, the HTML interface or run the Java based applets, on Lion. As far as our software I am not aware of any issue with PDF files generated on a Lion system, this does not mean that CS4 won’t have an issue running on Lion, I would consult with the various Adobe forums to be sure. I did do a quick search for you on this and although some people do seem to have issues with CS4 and Lion they seem to be rather easy to correct.

Is Lion fully supported yet? If so, what version of MiSTRAL and DiALOGUE patches are compatible with Lion? If not, when is the expected release date for official patches?
