How to determine your patch level
Posted by Charlie Tumminello on 07 May 2010 03:39 PM
In order to diagnose your issue thoroughly, or in preparation to pass it on to DALiM for their analysis, we may need you to check your patch level. Open up a Terminal session on your server and at the prompt, type:

/symlnks/DALiM_6.0/script/supportGetPackagesList

This will generate a list of patches, tool patches and OS information, and place it in the /tmp directory of your DALiM server, with the name 'supportGetPackagesList-YYYY_MM_DD-HHhMMmSSs'. If you're not fond of the command line, and if you have one of our patch ISOs handy, there's another way to get your patch information. Launch the ISO as if you were going to patch your server. Once the Package Manager has connected to your server and updated, you can click on the File menu and select 'Save current product configuration...'. This will open a dialog box where you can name your saved configuration and select where to save it. Send either of those files to us, and we'll have a complete list of all of your installed patches. If you're looking for your patch level in MiSTRAL or PRiNTEMPO, it couldn't be easier. Log onto MiSTRAL or PRiNTEMPO through your browser as you normally do, and then click on the DALiM logo on the upper right-hand side of the screen. You'll get a pop-up window with your patch list.
