workflows stop being published

Some times workflows change from a green triangle (published and working) to a red dot with a letter "E" (stopped).
The first thing you should check is to see what the error being generated is.
To do this you need to select one of the non published workflows and select the eyeglass icon.
The eyeglasses icon is the universal symbol for the DALiM log file, often by selecting this you get a more detailed error message.
common reasons for this issue are:
the InputFiles tools is set to monitor a remote volume for its hot-folder, set in the "Location" tab of the InputFiles tool, which is not longer accessible.
you can tell this because the error in the log will say something to the effect that /path/to/folder/ permission denied.

If this error is being generated and the hot folder is not a mounted volume, please verify the permissions on this folder are set to have twistadm as the owner and twistadm has full rights to it.
