Should I run Software Update on my OS X machine that runs a TWiST client?

We do NOT recommend running Software Update on your machine, unless you have a good current backup of your hard drive. On several occasions, we have had OS X updates (most often involving Java) render the TWiST client unusable. Often, DALiM does not get advanced warning of a OS X update, so they are not able to provide patches beforehand.
